"I've Done Nothing Wrong, So I Don't Feel Guilty" Says Rahul Raj Singh On Pratyusha's Suicide Case!

Pratyusha Banerjee's suicide was a national shock for everyone. Now, there is a new twist in the case, the Supreme Court has confirmed the bail of Rahul Raj Singh, accused of abetting the suicide of his girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee. Recently, in an interview with HT he told that he is ready to put up a brave fight to prove his innocence. We bring to you some excerpts from an interview:


On Supreme Court refusing to cancel his bail, he said- "I knew I was innocent. I wanted the truth to come out on its own. People who hardly knew the truth about my relationship with Pratyusha, lashed out at me. I kept quiet. If I had retaliated, it would have seemed like a feeble attempt to defend myself."

When asked about Pratyusha's friend attacking him, he said-"They couldn’t bear the fact that I had made a place for myself in Mumbai."He also added, "Kamya Punjabi claims to be Pratyusha’s friend. And if Pratyusha’s call log for the entire year was checked, there might be just one or two calls."

On link ups with Saloni Sharma and having a 9 year old, he said- "She is my partner in an events management company. She’d meet me for business reasons. Stories about her and me are untrue. I want to ask Kamya that. I am sure she pays my son’s school fees. I have no clue about the son."



He also blamed Pratyusha's financial mess for her suicide. "It was her financial mess that landed her in a depression. At a very young age, she earned Rs.5 crore to Rs.6 crore. Since she didn’t know how to handle her finances, she handed over her earnings to her parents. When she asked back for her hard-earned money, they said there was nothing."

One of the greatest peformer of the 90's era was comedian, Razak Khan. He was popularly remembered as Ninja Chacha, Babu Bisleri, Munna Mobile & Lucky Chikna from various movies, Razak Khan and comedy was synonymous to each other.

He was a man with excellent command on wit and some great movies to his credit, what he achieved in his carer is beyond comparison. Some of Razak's most memorable roles remain in movies like Baadshah, Raja Hindustani, Hello Brother, Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhaag, Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Loha and Ishq & Kyaa Kool Hain Hum series.

#1 Don't Hit On Him When He's Got A Girlfriend
This one could work out well for you... but do you want it to? It'll also tell you a lot about him. Either he's not interested, or he's willing to cheat on whoever his current girlfriend is. Eventually, that might be you.

But sadly, this DIY could have a downside. According to Dermatologists lime juice could have a bad reaction on such a sensitive area. Lime juice is an irritant and can be a bad idea for the underarms! Lime irritates both because it's an acid and because the molecule is inherently irritating.

So maybe regular deo is your best bet, but ONLY on your armpits.

Made In Punjab is a brand owned by Zorawar Kalra showcasing the regional delicacies of Punjab with little-tweaked flavors. Made in Punjab is an endeavor to take you through time and experience the grandeur of the Sikh Kingdom, while exploring and reviving the rich culinary history of the State. “Punjab” in Persian means (The Land of) Five Rivers and thus the menu at Made in Punjab covers the rich agricultural regions surrounding the rivers Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas and Sutlej from the erstwhile Princely State, while artistically capturing each of them in the brands logo as well.

I loved MIP. This place serves traditional food giving it a modern look, serving in stylish brass plates by their friendly staff alongside great cocktails. The ambiance of the place is pleasant and welcoming. The lighting is bright enough for a decent meal on the table. The menu booklet is wacky with names of the dishes sound crazy.

We took up the journey with few mocktails like Minty Apple which was great concoction of fresh apple muddled with mint and lime juice and topped off with house-made apple soda. It was a light and refreshing , Khatta Meetha A mix of Orange, mango juice, lime juice, and passion fruit puree, this was more on the meetha side than the khatta, but the kaffir lime leaves did provide a fresh flavor. The Banarasi peda lassi was served with a peda inside the lassi and it was okay. The best was the legendary cocktail Nasheli Chai which is combination of gin, vodka, white rum and in house concoction of chai.

In starters we ordered When Mr Bhalla Met pap'di' , this is simple rustic yet tasty bhalla papdi perfect start to the meal ahead. The Jau Mushroom Chakli made from barley and mushrooms was quite bland  and not to my liking. The Legacy Tandoori Champ was everything it promised meat pieces coming off the bone with a slight pinch and a scrumptious taste. Just one word for it - Spectacular !!! Next came the beautifully crafted Burnt Lehson Tikka and the Murg Malai Tikka and  was just how they are supposed to be -  Juicy and tender! Lastly we had Gabbar Prawns which had a good flavor to it but were slightly harder than usual. Not something I would order again.

As the time for mains arrived we were too full but like they say in Punjabi "We eat with out hearts not with our stomach"! So we moved on and ordered Lehsun Palak Chenna which was a beautiful dish with a wonderful aroma of green shredded spinach with freshly split cheese. Being a Punjabi myself I have been eating butter chicken since childhood  but just the description of Luxury Butter Chicken got me excited and I was eagerly waiting for it throughout the evening. And when it finally arrived one bite I was on cloud nine. With a coating of silver foil on top and loads of dry fruits, and cream, the chicken looked luxurious and I imagine this is what royalty would taste like! The Ma Ki Daal was thick and creamy and simply melted in the mouth. It was as authentic as can be. Lastly we had Nalli Hard Core - The PERFECT nalli nihari. Cooked to perfect tenderness and had amazing aroma and an even better taste.

With such a hearty meal, we were almost stuffed for options but the menu boasted of some very tempting desserts so we selected . We had to try the Nukkad Jalebi which was served in a martini glass, it looked stylish and even more appetizing! The jalebis were crisp and freshly made and even the rabri tasted amazing too! The Gaushala Di Kulfi was nice nothing too spectacular about it except for presentation as it was served in champagne glasses dipped in khas syrup. After such a heart meal came the treasure box of different kinds of mouth fresheners in a tiny drawer chest. I thought it was very cute touch given to the regular mouth fresheners.

Every dish in Made In Punjab had a grandeur to itself.  A visit to MIP will help reconnect with your punjabi roots. #1 Popping Pimples Even Though You Know You Shouldn't
I wish I could say there's been a time when I popped a pimple and it didn't leave a festering wound on my face, but I can't. And to make matters worse, you can't even cover up the wound with makeup because it's a freaking wound. And yet we still do this. Each time. 

#2 Removing What's Left Of Your Chipped Manicure By Scratching Off The Nail Polish
Because you can't see a nail polish remover near you or maybe you are in office and you see the ugly chipped nails so you decide to scratch the leftover yourself. Bonus points if you do this at office and then have that sad pile of nail polish chips on your desk as evidence that you're gross. 

#3 Using Your Finger And Spit To Fix Your Smudged Eyeliner 
Do we have Q-tips? Oh god, yes. They're littering our bathroom. But are we going to go and get one and wet it in the sink so we can properly fix our eyeliner like a grown-up? No. Spit works. 

#4 Pouring Out Too Much Foundation And Then Scraping It Back Into The Bottle With Hands
Spilling out too much foundation on your hands or dressing table and then wiping it off and putting it back in because it's expensive and whatever. But also? Ew.

#5 Keeping A Compact Full Of Broken Pressed Powder That Spills Out All Over The Place Every Time You Open It. 
Because not having to buy a new compact seems better than having to wipe the colored dust off your black jeans every time you want to reapply.  

#6 Realizing You Missed A Hair While Shaving Or Waxing And Just Trying To Pull It Out With Your Hands
It's like the freaking Sword in the Stone. If only you could pull out that one hair with your bare hands putting all your concentration into it and making your skin go red instead! Frustrating but true!

#7 Sharing Your Kajal With Your Friend
I love how we all try to convince ourselves that doing this doesn't spread bacteria because we know and love our friend. As if the one thing that kills bacteria on makeup is friendship. OK.

#8 Not Washing Your Makeup Brushes That Often 
I always rationalize it with the logic of, "What? My face is clean when I apply my makeup, so the brush should be clean too." But that is a lie and we all know it. And then we wonder why we start breaking out like it's not almost 100 percent because we didn't wash our brushes. Get it?

#9 Trying To Squeeze Out Blackheads On Your Nose With Exfoliation 
Not only does this not even work, but your nose is always super red afterward. And why is it red afterward? Because that's your nose's way of yelling at you to use a exfoliating srub first to open those pores. You have the scrub right there in your bathroom and you know this. Just plain lazy!

#10 Sleeping With Your Makeup On
Every single beauty article we read is like, "Hey, here's the biggest beauty tip ever: Don't sleep in your makeup." And we're like, "Uh-huh," and then we do it anyway. It's not only super nasty, but have you ever tried to get mascara or the Lipstick off a white pillow case? It cannot be done. Why are we like this?

#11 Not Throwing Out Your Mascara For Two Years Because There's Still Some In There
What's that? We're supposed to throw out mascara every three months so we don't risk an eye infection? Um, not gonna happen! This was Rs 500. I do not have "rs 500 every three months" mascara money! I am no Kareena Kapoor!!!

#12 Trying On Makeup Testers That You Know Have Been Used By 1000+ Other Gross Faces
Again, the suspension of disbelief is so strong when this happens. I usually tell myself, "I bet the only people who have used this specific lip gloss tester were very clean and had zero contagious infections." And then I spend the next few hours being terrified that I'm going to die with an allergic reaction because that gloss contained an incurable disease.

OOPS! These Bollywood BFFs Have Parted Ways Because of The Actress's Husband!

Karan Johar and Kajol's friendship is best known in Bollywood, but now it looks like things are not right between them and they no longer are BFFs. If we believe to the Bollywoodlife sources they are no longer buddies and the reason is Ajay Devgan. According to the Bollywoodlife sources,"Ajay’s Shivaay is the real reason for the strain in Kajol’s friendship with Karan. Kajol is staying away from Karan because his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be clashing with her husband’s. Obviously she has chosen her side like the last time she did with Shah Rukh.”


Ajay Devgan's Shivaay and Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is releasing on the same date. According to the reports this hurt Ajay’s sentiments and Kajol feels let down by her buddy. This is the first time they are at war. Kajol has taken a stand and stopped talking to Karan completely. Kajol didn’t go to KJo’s party in London and didn’t even wish him, she made a comeback on her social media page but shared Shivaay's poster and support her husband. Well, we wish they sort out their differences.

#PhotoDiary: ‘World Interiors Day’ At Asian Paints Colour Store, Connaught Place

Interiors and home décor has always been a fascinating subject in my blogging sphere. While I love aesthetics and clean lines, I will admit that that I am certainly not one of the best persons when it comes to intelligent décor and design. When Asian Paints extended an invitation to me on the occasion of ‘World Interiors Day’, at their signature Colour Store at CP, I was happier to be a part of a session that showcased movies inspired ideas for homes. 









The Colour Store in CP is aimed at educating home enthusiasts on interior decoration and designs. Asian Paints tied up with renowned film production designer, Shruti Gupte to host an exclusive workshop who indeed helped me understand how home and office spaces can be done inspired from the popular Bollywood films. The theme for the workshop was ‘Intelligent & Inspirational Interiors, from Silver Screens to Your Home’ and here are some key things that I learnt about interiors and space in this workshop-

#1 The more layering you have at your home, the more interesting the space becomes.

#2 Textures, motifs, patterns can add layers to the wall without changing the colour.

#3 To create depth in your room, panel your wallpapers

#4 Use lavender as it has a cool effect without being OTT

#5 Always give importance to the style of the room as the character of the room defines who stays in it

#6 For neat designs, create textures with gold on the wall. So when the yellow light falls on it, you get clean lines and a fresh space. 

#7 Colors and textures are not to be feared but embraced as part of our personality

#8 Our personal and professional environments are an extension of our personality and should inspire our days, help create memories or convey our aspirations.

The session helped me understand how one can elevate the look and feel of home and be experimental woth the décor choices in a fitting manner. Love how Asian Paints is determined to encourage consumer’s get inspired from their favorite films like ‘Aisha’, ‘Taare Zamin Par’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Lunch Box’ and others. 

Through examples of her films, Shurti spoke about the importance of characters and their inspiration while decorating their homes and setting up the space. Asian Paints now help consumers choose the right colour, help them experience the look through interesting DIY activities at the Colour Store. " Shilpa Is My Princess" Says Raj Kundra!

There have been rumors doing rounds that all is not well between Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. However, Raj rubbished this rumour and said Shilpa will always be his princess. He said to DNA," I think this rumour started when Shilpa was complaining to her friends that I have been working so hard that I hardly had any time to spend with her. I have been working on this huge deal almost 20 hours a day from my office in Matunga and haven’t had any time to breathe, eat or sleep! I just go home for a shower and change.”Infact, Raj has a surprise planned for Shilpa on her 41st birthday (June 8) this year. “This year we will keep it simple as last year, we celebrated it in Montenegro with all our family and friends so this year will be just Shilpa and me. I will whisk her off somewhere for just one night. And of course, it will be a surprise again. Shilpa is my princess so I have to look after her well."

Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar is all set to make his debut with Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara. The movie will be produced by Karan Johar which will be directed by Mohit Suri. It will go on floors in January 2017. When DNA asked Shahid if he ever wanted to launch  his brother and he said," I will let people, who are more capable, do that. Why should I? I worked hard; I gave an audition and got my first film. He’s fortunate that he’s getting opportunities, so he should work hard. He has me always for any advice he needs."
