Indian Done Right Featuring Kalidaar Kurta Dress

I have longed to own a kalidaar kurta that could be worn as a dress! Well this is my #desigirlconfession but I have always wanted to embrace an Indian dress that may or may not look like a kurta but more importantly, a dress that defines my femininity and reflects my inclination towards Indian wear. Being an avid online shopper, I felt rather lucky to find a pleated, kalidaar kurta on Jaypore.com. Here is how I elevated my versatile kurta dress now on the blog. 








Here are some basic style tips that you can follow to dress up your kurta as a dress-
A kalidara kurta is a statement garment in itself, hence you can refrain dressing it up with stoles, dupattas, scarfs simply because it won’t give a contemporary appearance. What it may look like is that you forget to wear the pants!

Every time you want to wear a kalidaar kurta, add a slim/waist belt to your torso. The belt will accentuate your curves and refine your overall look. Also pick up a statement purse or a clutch that compliments the outfit.

Add a plain neck-piece or an elegant jewel that will add a little drama to the outfit. Indian attire can never be complete without jewels, so make sure you add some baubles like rings and neck pieces to your dress.

Last, but not the least, dress to impress with a nice pair to stilettos to elevate your overall outfit. Wearing heels with a kurta dress is definitely recommended in my list and I personally think that it add the perfect hint of feminism and fluidity to a woman’s body.

There are many chef's all around the world, each with their own unique specialty. Why did God do that? Why not give everyone equal qualities and specialties? Would it be easier if everyone were the same? No, right! If you like a chocolate mousse cake, you're not going to settle for a muffin from a garage bakery. God hates us all. That's why he gave us the ability to choose. To make the best of our mistakes. And the most repeated mistake we as humans do, is to believe in the idea of being in love and not the actual bird named love. People have this fancy word for it, 'click'. Love is not a mouse button, that works only when clicked upon. Love is like a dance, you choose your partner first and then do the dance. God's hatred is actually a blessing in disguise for you. Keep you heart on your sleeves, let it fall off and break into a million pieces. Never stop keeping it at the edge. Love's not easy, all that you see in the movies. That's total crap. Love stories don't have a happy ending, it doesn't stop right at the kiss. There's a predicament attached to it, you know, 'Life'. Do not wait for the dance of the dead at your home, which you sometimes call, 'The Lonely Temple'. Don't be shy. A morning of awkwardness is far better than a lonely night.

Whatever you do, don't be another brick in the wall.

Hrithik and Sussane tied the knot in December 2000. They got divorced in 2014. They have two sons Hridhaan and Hrehaan. Our heart is slowly breaking to bits on hearing this news, maybe becuase we are #TeamHrithik after all.

Delhi Bride Reviews MUA At Looks Salon, Faridabad

After searching a lot of places, bride Aakriti finally zeroed on Looks Salon at Faridabad. Here is her review of her MUA at the salon and a detailed makeup breakdown for you guys. 





I Inquired about the rates first and foremost, and asked questions about the makeup products and  the total duration they take. I also requested them to show me their bridal work done in past followed by setting up a meeting with the make up artist two weeks before the engagement. Getting comfortable with your makeup artist is really important. I had to explain the kind of look I wanted. Finally, after getting assured by their team I decided to book them for my engagement ceremony. I opted for an airbrush look and trust me it looks natural. Many people I know have misconceptions around the air brush look and think that it looks heavy on face but my MUA ensured that my look didn't look overdone.

Here is my detailed makeup breakdown-

Eyes: I don' like very loud make up but wanted my eyes to look dramatict. The make up artist gave a smokey look and added blue eyeliner underneath my eyes to give a little contrast followed by a line of thick black eyeliner. She added a burnt copper-gold eye shadow with a sparkle tone to complete the dramatic look.

Cheeks: Keeping colors of my attire in mind, apples of the cheek were highlighted with a burst of peachy pink to add the glow.The artist used a highlighter to define the cheekbones.

Lips: On lips I chose to wear a red matte lipstick with a perfectly matched lip liner, giving a flattering look.

Hair: I was in love with my not so messy bun. No extra hair, just bobby pins and hair spray kept my bun intact.The puff was pinned high and was adorned with an artificial moti chain placed on one side of my hair.

The complete combo suited my skin perfectly. The team did a good job in getting me ready on time and yes I received multiple compliments as well.

It's funny how I felt super nervous right before I was to step in my engagement hall! To give a little twist, I had my baby niece and nephew holding a board right before I entered the hall which read- 'Here comes the bride-to be'.

The poster of Jai Gangajal is out and Priyanka Chopra playing a tough cop in the movie. Prakash Jha recently changed his movie's name from Gangajal 2 to Jai Gangajal. He told media that the first part of Gangajal was made under the Manmohan's Shetty' banner, Entertainment One India ltd. but Manmohan sold rights of his company to Phantom Films Pvt.Ltd. Since Phantom has claimed the ownership of Gangajal, hence the new name.

5 Things To Do Before And After Bikini Wax

So many things we do in the name of beauty and bikini waxing tops the chart of the most difficult beauty treatments ever. So while a lot of women refrain from getting a bikini wax done until they are getting married, here are some tips that can make your experience easier or maybe the though a bit more approachable.

1. Learn to exfoliate your bikini area a few days before waxing
Opt for a gentle exfoliating scrub for your skin. The exfoliation will remove dead skin cells that can clog the ingrown hair. This will make the waxing bit less troublesome. 

2. Resist shaving a quarter inch of hair
Trim your hair and leave at least a quarter inch of hair that can be easily pulled out through waxing. Hair lesser than that will cause more pain and will even require repeated no. of waxing strips. 

3. Avoid bikini waxing around periods
The reason is simple, your skin is super sensitive during and around your menstrual cycle. Minimize the pain by avoiding to wax at this time and instead opt for a delayed waxing schedule.

4. Don’t scrub, exfoliate or swim for at least 3 days post bikini waxing
Goes without saying, the hot wax will make your skin softer and there will be a lot of inflammation so don't swim or exfoliate to make it worse. 

5. Avoid excessive sweating
To tackle excessive sweating, avoid wearing skin tight clothes and apparels. Keep away from infection and let your skin breathe and get back to normal within 48 hours.

Follow these simple steps and ensure that you get your self waxed with regular schedules to get best possible results.

What you don't know is that rejection is merely a tool to build up your morale, and not a short cut to build up a toll on you. Go out, take chances, live life, face rejections and come back right up stronger and sharper. Life and love go hand in hand, it's not a swift sail on a yacht. It's a stormy ride on a paper boat. Everything can change in a heartbeat, and it does. There's no life without love, even if it's for a moment. Whatever you do or did, don't give up. Because if they love you, they'll forgive you. Things break. They fall. That's a maze we deluded avatars call, 'life'. Always be on the lookout for your moment. Sania Mirza's Wedding Look Tells Us That Brown Is The New Red!

Sania Mirza looked stunning in her sister's engagement. She wore a Brown Lehanga designed by none other than, but Manish Malhotra. The colour has never looked so beautiful on the Indian skin-tone. Sania's outfit is a proof as to why one should try colors other than pinks, reds and maroons. We can also say that brown is the new RED color of the shaadi season.





She paired her lehanga with statement chandbali earrings with diamond by Moni Agarwal and opted for a rich brown lipstick. 


Here's how you can look like Sania Mirza in a brown lehenga & Indian outfits:

1. Layer Jewelry against brown lehanga. Opt for statement earrings or neck-pieces to compliment the attire. The more bling your pieces are, the better your outfit will look.
