Twinkle Khanna, one of the wittiest columnist in India unveiled her debut book Mrs. Funnybones published by Penguin Random House On Tuesday, 18th August 2015. Full of wit and delicious observations, Mrs Funny Bones captures the life of the modern Indian woman—a woman who organizes dinner each evening but goes to work all day, who runs her own life but has to listen to her mummyji, who worries about her weight and the state of the country. 











Based on her super-hit columns, Mrs Funnybones marks the debut of one of our funniest, most original writers. Twinkle was supported by her family including Akshay Kumar,  mother Dimple Kapadia and sister Rinke Saran.

The evening was presented by Caroline Newbury, VP Marketing and Corporate Communications, Random House India followed by a tongue-in-cheek chat between Karan Johar and Twinkle on the lines of Koffee with Karan .  The evening progressed with a session of personal anecdotes from Dr. Nozer Sheriar her gynacologist, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Dimple Kapadia.

India’s popular sports couple Dipika Pallikal and Dinesh Karthik tied knot after almost two years of togetherness! The squash queen Pallikal has always been celebrating the relationship with the Indian wicket keeper but this time around the two took it upon themselves to share the wedding plans. Dipika Pallikal belongs to a Christian family, while Dinesh comes from a Hindu household. Therefore, the couple had two wedding ceremonies according to the rituals of both the religions and we can't help but adore this beautiful shot from the Church wedding!

The couple began dating since 2003 and finally tied the knot in 2012. Riteish has been sharing photos of the baby and the new addition was captioned as "My World." The family is currently holidaying in Bangkok. Isn't it a super cute frame?

How I love everything Indian?! This month's My Envy Box celebrated our Independence day and captured the spirit of desi ness in the beauty box. From the gorgeous cover design to the Indian beauty products, the beauty subscription box themed their August Box as India Mon Amour. Read my review of the box in today's post as I unveil the products I received this month.




The August My Envy Box contains 4 different samples ranging from makeup, skincare to perfume. It has 4 (almost) full sized products including a luxe sample which also happens to be my favorite. Here are the

1. Hedonista – Oudh Frozen Itar for Rs 1,045 
 This was my first time I used a frozen itar in a balm like texture and I have to admit that it has become a go-to product. I carry it to my office and dab a small portion every-time I switch between meetings.  It has a fragrance of warm vetiver and rose which is a beautiful combination. 

2. Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask for Rs 900 
It was another full sized product and also the second favorite from the pack. It is a mask for an acne prone skin but because it has the goodness of neem and green tea, it is good to treat any pimples, scars or oil. The powder mask can be mixed with warm water for the application. It also reads to combat sun damage but I simply love the idea of neem and green tea on the skin. 

3. Soultree Ayurvedic Kajal for Rs 350  
Honestly I am not a very big fan of Soultree kajals simply because they smudge like crazy. While it is a ayurvedic kajal made out of black carbon collected from vegetable oil lamps, I still think there are better options available. The kajal lacks pigment but can be used by someone who is cray, cray for Ayurvedic kohls. 

4.  Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist for Rs. 1,475
The showstopper product for me was the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist. I absolutely love the smell of the mist that has a mix of pomegranate, lemon, wheat germ oil and pure aloe-vera which gives a long-lasting fragrance.

I have to thank Chef Ashwani Kumar Singh along with Awadhi food connoisseur Rajkumari Alka Rani Singh of Pratapgarh for introducing one of the best Awadhi cuisine restaurant to my palette and for reinforcing my faith in appetizing Indian traditional food. Situated at the Kempinski Ambience Hotel Delhi, Dilli 32 truly echoes flair of delicately crafted dishes.

Desserts include a delightful spread of Kaccheaamki Kheer, MalaiPaan and Jauzihalwa among others. With combination of ingredients and slow cooking methods from the royal kitchens at Lucknow, Kempinski Ambience Hotel has recreated the magic of the indulgent Awadhi cuisine.

While we can't wait to witness the fairy tale love story featuring Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor, there are many people who are talking about Alia's all new bikini body. According to PTI, her alleged boyfriend, Sidharth Malhotra had the most interesting thing to say when asked about Alia's look! 

Sidharth avoided the question (so beautifully) and said- "Shaandaar looks great and Alia is a lovely girl. I am working with her in Kapoor & Sons."

And boy, he did list his bikini favorites and added, "I think in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez have the best bikini body."
