Amazon India fashion Week Spring Summer '16 has been an eventful experience this year! With FDCI shifting it's venue from Pragati Maidan to NSIC Exhibition Grounds in Okhla, everything seemed to be on point. And the highlight of the fashion week was Day 02 and Day 03 for me in particular! I happened to meet one of my favorite Bollywood stars and witness the first ever Ready to wear line by my most favorite designer, Anamika Khanna in association with Spaces- Home & Beyond.
Day 02 was relatively easy for me and I spent lots of time checking out different designer pop ups and brand installations. Spaces- Home & Beyond had created a very comfortable lounge where in one could make swift transitions in between shows and sip some wine. I loved how this premium brand by Welspun blended in well with the fashion theme and engaged with the new age digital savvy audience that understands the language of both design and space. Giant lipstick was my favorite installation at the lounge followed by the eye shadow palette that showcased various home furnishing textures.
Parineeti Chopra had also visited the Spaces – Home & Beyond lounge and she looked very pretty in Kanika Goyal label. You can read more about her look here.
The lounge had some really fascinating photography elements, be it the bright yellow wall paper, or the super comfy bed :p or the makeup inspired installations. But the most fun part was their turban kiosk where I adorned a colouful turban which they photographed and displayed on their screen all through the fashion week. Here's my turban selfie.
Day 03 was super special as I got to witness the most awaited show of the fashion week- Anamika Khanna in association with Spaces- Home & Beyond. Just when the venue for the finale show, #AnaMika moved from the regular halls to outside arena, I knew that something big was coming up. And just then I heard the live band performing, saw the arena getting packed in no time and finally witnessed the first model walk the open runway in a sports luxe look.
After styling the best of Bollywood stars and showcasing her collection globally, Anamika finally showcased her first ever Ready-to-wear line at AIFW. Her collection featured relaxed silhouettes that screamed sports all the way. The outfits were mostly black and white but she also introduced a hint of colours in between. I totally loved her take on sporty chic and needless to say, this was one of my favorite shows this season.
