After searching a lot of places, bride Aakriti finally zeroed on Looks Salon at Faridabad. Here is her review of her MUA at the salon and a detailed makeup breakdown for you guys.
I Inquired about the rates first and foremost, and asked questions about the makeup products and the total duration they take. I also requested them to show me their bridal work done in past followed by setting up a meeting with the make up artist two weeks before the engagement. Getting comfortable with your makeup artist is really important. I had to explain the kind of look I wanted. Finally, after getting assured by their team I decided to book them for my engagement ceremony. I opted for an airbrush look and trust me it looks natural. Many people I know have misconceptions around the air brush look and think that it looks heavy on face but my MUA ensured that my look didn't look overdone.
Here is my detailed makeup breakdown-
Eyes: I don' like very loud make up but wanted my eyes to look dramatict. The make up artist gave a smokey look and added blue eyeliner underneath my eyes to give a little contrast followed by a line of thick black eyeliner. She added a burnt copper-gold eye shadow with a sparkle tone to complete the dramatic look.
Cheeks: Keeping colors of my attire in mind, apples of the cheek were highlighted with a burst of peachy pink to add the glow.The artist used a highlighter to define the cheekbones.
Lips: On lips I chose to wear a red matte lipstick with a perfectly matched lip liner, giving a flattering look.
Hair: I was in love with my not so messy bun. No extra hair, just bobby pins and hair spray kept my bun intact.The puff was pinned high and was adorned with an artificial moti chain placed on one side of my hair.
The complete combo suited my skin perfectly. The team did a good job in getting me ready on time and yes I received multiple compliments as well.

It's funny how I felt super nervous right before I was to step in my engagement hall! To give a little twist, I had my baby niece and nephew holding a board right before I entered the hall which read- 'Here comes the bride-to be'.
