#HowTo: Treat Dandruff At Home With These 5 Home Ingredients

Be it summers, monsoon or winter dandruff happens to befriend our hair every season. Dandruff is one of the most displeasing things that creates havoc to your hair. Along with dandruff, your hair turns dull, dry and you even face severe hair loss. Even though there are plenty of shampoos that treat dandruff, the results of those shampoos can be harsh for your hair as it can cause hair loss. And that is why we suggest you to take organic route- raid your kitchen. Trust us, nothing can be effective and safe compared to home treatments. The home ingredients mentioned below are tried and tested and would definitely bring a tremendous change to your hair. 

1. Baking soda:
It is one of the most effective ways to expel flakiness from your scalp. Baking soda cleans your scalp and keeps it dirt free and you can notice the results within two weeks. Make a paste of baking soda, lemon juice and apply it on your scalp, let it rest for 20 minutes and then wash with cool water. Do this once a week and in a month’s time dandruff would disappear from your hair. 

2. Tea tree oil:
This is the holy grail for oily scalp. The antimicrobial properties will ward off the fungi and prevent an itchy scalp. You can add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo or even massage your scalp with it and see less or no dandruff on your scalp or t-shirt. 

3. Apple cider vinegar:
We have raved about this product and we definitely recommend it to treat your dandruff. It will balance the pH levels and keep your scalp clean. Make sure you pick organic ACV and use diluted apple cider vinegar on your scalp. You can rinse your hair with this ingredient and get a dandruff free hair. 

4. Aloe vera:
Dandruff can happen due to the dry infected scalp and aloe vera helps in retaining the moisture levels in your hair and the anti-inflammatory properties will soothe your scalp. Scoop out the gel from the aloe vera plant, whip it and apply it on your scalp. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes and wash your hair with cool water, shampoo.

5. Fenugreek seeds:
We reserved the best for the last. Fenugreek seeds are highly recommended for dandruff-prone hair. It is rich in vitamins, minerals that will combat the flaky scalp. Soak fenugreek seeds overnight and blend it in a blender, then add a few drops of lemon juice and cover your hair with this paste. Wash your hair after 30 minutes. Make sure you use this hair recipe every week.
