DIY Scrubs: 4 Fabulous Foot Scrubs For Happy Monsoon Feet

Finally, we are pampered by rain gods. The rains are such a huge relief from the scorching sun that took a toll on our skin, hair and definitely our moods -didn't it? Monsoon is definitely the best part of the year, where we can enjoy the drizzles, earthy smell and definitely jumping in the puddles. However like summer, monsoon too does sufficient damage to our skin and hair. But feet get maximum damage during the rains and are easily prone to fungal infection itchiness and dryness. Thus, it is essential to give extra attention to your lovely feet so that you can effortlessly flaunt your legs in stylish stilettos. Make sure you keep your foot dry, wear waterproof footwear and avoid any kind of dampness in your feet which can invite infections. Apart from this exfoliation is equally important, it will keep germs, impurities away and soften your foot. Try our 4 tried and tested foot scrubs that will keep your feet happy.

1. Black tea and olive oil scrub:
Black tea is a great disinfectant for your feet, the tannic acid in black tea has antifungal and antibacterial properties which will fight fungal infections and even keep your feet odorless. Olive oil will hydrate your feet and reduce flakiness and cracked heels. Make a paste of 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 teaspoons of black tea and scrub your feet for a few minutes. If you want, you can soak your feet in ½ cup black tea and rinse with water. Complete the feet care with foot cream.

2. Sea salt and peppermint scrub:




This scrub will not only cleanse your feet, but even rejuvenates your tired feet. Sea salts are excellent exfoliator, they remove dead skin cells, dryness and bring a suppleness to your feet. Peppermint brings  a cooling sensation and relaxes the tired feet. Make the scrub about 2 tablespoons of sea salt and add 1 tablespoon of crushed peppermint. Generously apply it on your feet and massage in circular motion for a few minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. You can go a step further by covering your feet in foot mask and protect your feet completely in the monsoon.

3. Milk and brown sugar scrub:
Give your feet a complete extravagant feel by pampering it with milk and brown sugar scrub. Milk is a natural cleanser and perfectly moisturizes the feet. It even reduces flakiness and heals cracked heels, whereas brown sugar will exfoliate your skin and remove dry, dead skin cells. Mix equal parts of milk and brown sugar and scrub your feet for 4-5 minutes, soak in milk water for 10 minutes and pack your feet with a good foot cream.

4. Oatmeal and honey scrub:




We all know how remarkable oatmeal is, it scrubs away the impurities, fights bacteria and leaves skin super soft, it has the same effect on your feet too. For hydrating and smoothness purpose add equal parts of  honey to the scrub and exfoliate your feet for 5 minutes. Let it rest for a while and then wash with lukewarm water. Do this scrub once a week for clean and soft feet.

Do scrub your feet once a week and keep infections at bay. Have a happy and healthy monsoon.
