Who doesn't want to get rid of sun damage, hyper pigmentation or brown spots? Well, I got lucky to experience the ingenious IPL Photofacial at House of Wellness, Rajouri Garden. As part of my pre wedding pampering regime, I chose to undergo this laser rejuvenation treatment that uses light-based technology resulting in boosting collagen. Here’s my review of the photofacial treatment and why every city girl must go in for this innovative skin care ritual.

WHAT IS PHOTOFACIAL?
Photofacial is a term used for a skin treatment that uses light-based technology, predominantly for boosting collagen. Photofacials are also known as foto facials, facial rejuvenation and photo rejuvenation. The only great way to make this work for yourself is to do it with your regular skin care routine that you can create with your salon expert. It’s effective for people like me who have bltchy, sun damaged, or whose skin is affected by large pores.
The IPL (intense-pulsed light) photo facial aims at penetrating the skin without damaging it and thus destroying the blood vessels that cause pigment problems. This is a 20-30 minute procedure and must be done by a specialist only. The experts at House of Wellness took care of my skin all through the process.
THE PROCESS
My skin was first cleaned and massaged thoroughly like you regular facials for an hour. The entire session at the F Salon India was extremely revitalizing. The specialists followed the cleansing, scrubbing, face pack regime, it was just that the facepack was applied post the photo facial.
I was also given protective eyewear to combat bright flashes of light. This was followed by application of a cool gel to help cool the epidermis during the treatment.
MY FIRST IMPRESSION
My skin felt a lot soft and supple and there was a observable change in the tan percentage. The doctor told me not to apply face wash or scrub for 10 hours but he also mentioned about the facial glow that I would get after 2-3 days. Guys, believe you me, right after my first face wash the next day I could see and feel glow on my skin. It only became better when people around me noticed it too. Skin is better than ever in my single sitting!

PHOTOFACIAL VS LASER SKIN RESURFACING
Photofacial minimizes the impact of enlarged pores, and sun damage. Lser on the other hand is used for more serious skin problems such as deep wrinkles, serious sun damage, acne scarring. Photofacial allows doctors to make cosmetic improvements conveniently.
HOW MANY SESSIONS OF PHOTOFACIALS ARE NEEDED?
Often, multiple photofacial treatments are necessary to achieve maximum results.
