With my wedding and trousseau shopping happening at the speed of light, I am having bitter sweet experiences with my boutique walas. I am sure a lot of you have experienced this feeling of not having the most perfect fit for a suit piece or a fabric that you absolutely adore, isn't it? But then being an internet baby, I always get a high on coming across brands online that offer customized stitching and fit. I have done it before, (remember my roka suit?) and I did it again for a gorgeous piece for my trousseau from Label KEYUS. What I love about them is that they offer classic designs with understated elegance and their fit, well it's their winning point I say!
Started by two women, Khushboo Jajodia a Computer Engineer and Partner at Keyus and Kunika Poddar an MBA who is also a partner at Keyus, the girls are bringing in traditional embroidery forms and giving them a completely contemporary feel to perfection.
I came across their brand while looking for a stylish yet a very wearable piece to add to my trousseau for my big wedding and I won’t lie but I was overwhelmed to see their modish designs that reflect the essence of a modern Indian girl or a woman if I may say so! There collection represents a variety of concept suit styles, dreamy designs, floral patterns, boho drape ensembles, embroidered shirts and a lot more. Coming back to the label, both the girls aspire to play of understated glam with their statement making pieces.
Now here's the best part, I ordered this suit online and not even once did I get into a call with the ladies. We exchanged emails and I shared my measurements with them that I took at the local boutique. The entire process of selection of the design, understanding the fabric was rather effortless and the turn around time was lesser than 2 weeks. I was little apprehensive of going in for online stitching and customization (at-least lesser than my mom) but when I tried on the garment, I felt it the best decision ever. The fit was perfect and so was the piece. I love the bright bursts of colours on my dress and I just can't wait to wear it post wedding :)
