Real Brides: Chandigarh Bride Reviews Her MUA

Real bride series are my favorite reads on the blog! And that is also because of the women who look so perfect, so Flawless on their D-Day. So many of my favorite girl friends recently got married and that gave your Miss Guilty a chance to share their make up experiences on the blog. Today I am going to make you all meet Mrs. Aastha Bhasin Sharma, a Delhi Girl who loves Mumbai more, a pilot's daughter and now a happily wedded Fauji wife!

Aastha's wedding was held at Chandigarh and her wedding was a quick affair. No quick is also an understatement, it was like they met for the first time and they decided to be together for forever. Our bride was busy with her preparations, while she purchased her wedding lehenga from frontier Rass, South Ex, she was really worried about her hair and makeup since she had no first hand experience at Chandigarh. After researching a lot from her friends and family, she zeroed down Headmasters, Chandigarh. (which by the way is my favorite salon at Chandi-land).

Her brief was very simple, she wanted a very clear makeup without any bling and glitter, that would make her look elegant. Because she was wearing a lot of colours in her attire, she refrained from using bright eye shadows but instead opted for light smokey eyes. Her MUA was Shalini who also happened to do all the magic on the bride. Instead of choosing the air brush makeup, she opted for regular base makeup which I have to admit was as good as any makeup. Lipstick was a nice shade of red, brighter one, that complimented her fair complexion. All MAC products were used for the makeup. The blush was a shade of pink that matched her blouse while it was contoured with bronze. She didn't opt for gold+pink combination but instead opted for pink+bronze combination. As for her hair, it was neatly tied in a bun and a beautiful puff was made using hair stuffing's that gave her the required volume. And of course she wanted to wear flowers, so her hairdo did actually have real flowers in it, beautifully tied. Aastha chose Headmasters for all 3 events of her wedding, the sangeet, the wedding and the reception. The entire package cost her INR 45,000 with wedding makeup being INR 20,000. Her package also included hair wash, nail paints, a complimentary hair spa and insta glow facial for the bride. Oh and yes, they even gave her a free makeup for her mother, now isn't that a custom made deal already?
