For decades, movies have been a religion in our country and film stars our demi-Gods. And every Friday, the followers increase by leaps and bounds. Being the pioneer of film magazines and award ceremonies in India, Filmfare celebrates the glorious history of our films. We are thrilled to announce that the 59th  Idea Filmfare awards 2013 will be held on January 24,2014 at the YRF studio, Mumbai.

Team Guiltybytes got in conversation with none other than but Farhan Akhtar and asked him a few questions. Here’s an exclusive Interview of Farhan with Guiltybytes.

GB: From your Journey of being a Writer, Director, Actor, Singer which role has been the toughest?
FA: Honestly I don’t know how to answer this one as it’s a very tough question. I think If you have the Passion and the motivation in life that keeps them going then there are no boundaries and no role is difficult. I try and give 100% in everything that I do and focus on one thing at a time.

GB: You trained so hard for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag what was your inspiration behind it?
FA: The sole inspiration behind the movie was the man himself Mr Milkha Singh. I had promised him that I would make the movie with utmost dedication and so I dedicated 2 yrs of my life to the movie. I reminded myself that if he could work so hard to achieve his goal, then I too must put in all my efforts to justify this role.

GB: Which actor in Bollywood is your favourite?
FA: It’s very difficult to say which actor is my favourite; as every actor works very hard but if I had to, I would say Mr Amitabh Bachchan as I have grown up admiring his work.

GB: Since you are such a Music enthusiast which Musical band is your favourite?
FA: I have grown up listing to Beatles and Elvis. So yeah they are my first favourites in Musical bands.

GB: What Inspired you to make Lakshya?
FA: Lakshya holds a very special place in my heart. It was a calling of a young man finding his feet, how it took him away from his comfort zone. We spent 5 months in Ladakh, the whole experience was very special.

GB: Lakshya is one of my favourite movies of you, being from armed forces myself I can tell you it has inspired a lot of youth to join the armed forces, infact in army it is called the “Lakshya Casuality”! what message do you have for the youth to inspire them further to be a part of the Army?
FA: Laughs… Really is that what they are called??? It is a privilege of any Actor or a Director to be able to inspire anyone with their work. And to be able to inspire the youth of the country to join the Armed forces is indeed an achievement. My message to them would be that serving the nation by joining the Armed forces is the biggest honour, so more and more youngsters should join the Armed forces . All the best.

GB:  What are your upcoming projects?
FA: My upcoming movies are Shaadi ke Side Effects; I am also doing a movie with Kareena Kapoor – Bombay Samurai directed by Dev Benegal.

The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards for 2013 are all about commemorating the magic of the movies and paying tribute to unforgettable starts, films, song, dialogue and celluloid memories. Gracing the occasion to announce the most anticipated award ceremony of 2014, was the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag star Farhan Akhtar with Mr. Tarun Rai - Chief Executive Officer, Worldwide Media, the publishers of Filmfare magazine and Mr. Rajat Mykharji , Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Idea Cellar.
